US Airways' Flight online Check-in allows you to check-in up to 24 hours before your flight departs. For using Flight Check-in:
- Check-in 90 minutes-24 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart.
- You have an electronic ticket for a US Airways, US Airways Shuttle or US Airways Express Flight.
- You are not traveling in a group of more than 9 people.
- You are not a special needs passenger (ie. Unaccompanied Minor).
Make sure you leave enough time at the airport to get through security, check your bags etc. You will be able to print your boarding pass at home but will have to drop your bags with a US Airways skycap or at an US Airways Express Check-in counter at the airport before the cut-off time. When you use Flight Check-in you can change or elect your seat.
For within to/from the U.S. or Canada:
- US Airways recommends you arrive at the airport 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart.
- The cut-off time for checking in is 30 minutes before departure time.
For international travel (including the Caribbean):
- US Airways recommends you arrive at the airport 2 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart.
- The cut-off time for checking in is 60 minutes before departure time.
Domestic passengers need to be at the boarding gate: at least 15 minutes before departure time. International passengers need to be at the boarding gate: at least 30 minutes before departure time (times may vary for some destinations).

Children up to 2 years old (24 months), are not required to have their own seat. You can also choose to purchase a seat for your infant as long as you have the proper child restraint device.
While traveling domestically a child under 2 years old (24 months) can travel for free as long as the infant will be on the lap of another passenger for the flight.
While traveling internationally a child under 2 years old (24 months) is usually charged 10% of an adult fare plus taxes, even if the infant will be on the lap of another passenger for the flight.
Each passenger is allowed to carry on one bag and one personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Maximum dimensions of carry-on luggage - 51 linear inches/129 cm, maximum weight of carry-on luggage - 40 lb, maximum dimensions of personal item: 21in x 16in x 8in.
Each passenger is allowed 1 checked bag with maximum dimensions - 62 linear inches/157 cm, maximum weight - 50 lb/23 kg.
A second checked bag will be assessed a $25 fee.
Fee for any bag weighing 51-70 lb: $50.
Fee for any bag weighing 71-100 lb: $100.
Customers traveling in first and envoy class can check a bag weighing up to 70 lb free of charge.
Bags weighing more than 100 lb will not be accepted. If a bag is both oversize and overweight, passengers will be charged both fees.
Fee for any bag between 62-80 linear inches - 157-203 cm: $80
Bags exceeding 80 inches will not be accepted.
