United Airlines' online EasyCheck-in allows you to check-in up to 24 hours before your flight departs. You have to check-in 1-24 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. You must have an electronic ticket on a United, Ted or United Express flight. You must be traveling within the U.S. including Alaska, Hawaii, San Juan, Puerto Rico, or St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. You are not a special needs passenger.
Make sure you leave enough time at the airport to get through security, check your bags etc.
You will be able to print your boarding pass at home but will have to drop your bags with a United Airlines skycap or at an EasyCheck-in Kiosk at the airport before the cut-off time. When you use EasyCheck-in you can change or select your seat, request an upgrade, confirm an upgrade.
If you plan to check in at the airport and if you are checking bags, United recommends that you arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart. If you plan to check in at the airport and if you are not checking bags, United recommends that you arrive at the airport at least 60 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart. If you are traveling internationally, United recommends you arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight. Domestic passengers need to be at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before departure time. International passengers need to be at the boarding gate at least 45 minutes before departure time.

Children up to 2 years old (24 months), are not required to have their own seat. You can also choose to purchase a seat for your infant as long as you have the proper child restraint device.
While traveling domestically a child under 2 years old (24 months) can travel for free as long as the infant will be on the lap of another passenger for the flight.
While traveling internationally a child under 2 years old (24 months) is usually charged 10% of an adult fare plus taxes, even if the infant will be on the lap of another passenger for the flight.
Each passenger is allowed to carry on one bag and one personal item such as a purse or briefcase. Maximum dimensions of carry-on luggage 45 linear inches/114 cm. Economy Class passengers:
- Checked baggage allowance: 1 piece
- Maximum weight: 50 lb/23 kg total
First or Business class passengers:
- Checked baggage allowance: 2 pieces
- Maximum weight: 50 lb/23 kg for each bag
Global Services, 1K, Premier Executive Mileage Plus members and Star Alliance Gold members on any fare or award ticket:
- Checked baggage allowance: 3 pieces
- Maximum weight: 70 lb/32 kg for each bag
Fee for any bag weighing 51-99 lb: $50. Fee for any bag between 63-115 linear inches: $80. Fee for second bag in economy: $25. Fee for each additional bag: $85 each.
