On many routes, bmi allows you to check-in online up to 24 hours before your flight departs. To use online check-in you have to: - Check-in 20 minutes to 24 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. - You must have an electronic ticket on a route that allows online check-in. - You are not a special needs passenger. Make sure you leave enough time at the airport to get through security, check your bags etc. Online check-in is available on following routes: - London Heathrow to/from Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Belfast City, Brussels, Dublin, Durham Tees Valley, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Hanover, Jersey, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Nice, Venice - London Heathrow to/from Addis Ababa, Almaty, Amman, Ankara, Baku, Beirut, Cairo, Tbilisi - London Heathrow to Alicante, Ekaterinburg, Moscow, Palma - Leeds Bradford to/from Edinburgh, Brussels, Glasgow - Manchester to/from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow - Edinburgh to/from Brussels, Leeds Bradford, Manchester - Aberdeen to/from Brussels, Norwich - East Midlands to/from Brussels If you have bags to check you will be able to use online check-in but will have to drop your bags with a bmi agent at the airport before the cut-off time. When you use online check-in you can change or select your seat as long as you are not on a tiny fare.
Bmi recommends you check-in as early as possible, check-in times do vary by airport. You need to be at the boarding gate 40 minutes before departure time, otherwise it will be closed.
